A Recap of GCEGPAN Activities to for the year 2024

The Green Clean Energy and Gas Practitioners Association in Nigeria (GCEGPAN) has accomplished several significant achievements since its formation on July 3, 2024. Here’s a summary of the key milestones from the outgoing year, 2024.

  1. Official Formation
    On July 3, 2024, the Green Clean Energy and Gas Practitioners Association (GCEGPAN) officially emerged as a beacon of hope for sustainable energy in Nigeria. This marked the beginning of a journey dedicated to promoting clean energy practices across the nation.
  2. Launch of a Comprehensive Website
    Following its establishment, GCEGPAN launched a robust official website. This digital platform is not just a source of information; it features a user-friendly registration portal that has successfully attracted around 67 paid members, with new registrations pouring in daily. The website serves as a hub for collaboration and community engagement, fostering a sense of unity among members.
  3. Impressive Membership Growth
    GCEGPAN has quickly grown to a membership strength of 527, representing a diverse group of professionals committed to advancing clean energy solutions. This growth is a testament to the association’s appeal and the increasing awareness of the importance of sustainable practices in Nigeria.
  4. Establishment of Coordinators
    With Coordinators appointed in all six geopolitical zones and approximately 14 state Coordinators, GCEGPAN has built a strong local presence. This decentralized structure ensures that energy practitioners across Nigeria are well-supported and connected, facilitating communication and collaboration.
  5. Strategic Collaborations
    GCEGPAN has forged significant partnerships with influential organizations, including:
  • Host Community Producing Oil and Gas (Hoscon)
  • ABG Group of Companies
  • National Orientation Agency
  • Presidential Initiatives on Compressed Natural Gas (PCNGI)
  • National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC)
  • Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL)
  • German Embassy
  • Ministry of Trade and Investment
  • Chinese Chamber of Commerce, with an invitation to the China Africa Trade Expo, which was well attended, giving us access to Chinese Companies in the alternative energy sector. These collaborations are pivotal in promoting clean energy initiatives and expanding GCEGPAN’s influence in the industry.
  1. Successful Maiden Training Program
    GCEGPAN proudly conducted its inaugural training program, where 23 individuals were trained in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion. This hands-on training not only equipped participants with essential skills but also resulted in job opportunities with the ABG Group of Companies for all willing trainees, showcasing GCEGPAN’s commitment to professional development and employment generation.
